Lion and Sun Car Rally

LSAN organised the Lion and Sun Caravan, a car rally from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, on June 6, 2026, to amplify the voice of millions of Iranians fighting for freedom and secular democracy.

The rally was held in solidarity with the millions of brave Iranians who risked their lives during the Lion and Sun Uprising of January 8–9, 2026. Answering the call of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, Iranians across the country rose up to demand an end to the Islamic Republic and the establishment of a free, democratic Iran.

Members of the Iranian-Australian diaspora drove from Brisbane to the Gold Coast in a convoy of vehicles proudly displaying the Lion and Sun flag and carrying photographs of Iranian heroes who were killed by the regime for demanding freedom and regime change in Iran. The Lion and Sun Caravan attracted attention throughout the journey and served as a powerful demonstration of solidarity with the people of Iran.

Through this event, the Iranian-Australian community sent a clear message to the Australian public and the international community: we will not stop speaking, acting, and advocating until Iran is free. We stand with the people of Iran and honour the sacrifices of those who have paid the ultimate price in the struggle for liberty, justice, and human dignity.

The Lion and Sun Caravan symbolised the unwavering commitment of Iranians abroad to be the voice of those inside Iran who continue to fight for a free and democratic future.
